About a quarter of our students compete at the varsity NCAA Division III level, producing conference championships across multiple sports and a host of Academic All-Americans. Add in Oxy’s robust intramural and club sport offerings, and more than half of all students participate in one or more athletics activities. “All in for Oxy” is more than a slogan—it’s a way of life when you become a Tiger. Year-round outdoor living

Our Southern California climate allows for outdoor sports and activities all year long. Take a weekend hike in the Angeles National Forest or along the scenic coastline. Check out a yoga class on campus or in the neighborhood. If bicycling is your thing, stop by our bike share program and cycle through the city or on countless nearby trails.

Strong body, strong mind

Alumni Gymnasium houses a 1,600 square-foot, state-of-the-art fitness center open to the entire student body. You’ll find treadmills, elliptical machines, upright bikes, recumbent bikes, a full circuit of strength equipment, and free weights. For a more structured workout, you can choose from a variety of classes including cardio, tennis, yoga, hip-hop, Zumba, circuit training, boot camp and spin. Classes are also available for faculty and staff, including Community Yoga.
