“Mindfulness Meditation in a World of Disease and Injustice: Value and Limits”
We invite you to join us for the second webinar in our Alumni Seal Conversations series featuring Dale Wright, David B. and Mary H. Gamble Professor in Religion/Religious Studies Emeritus. In honor of his former students and in gratitude for the 2020 Faculty Emeritus Alumni Seal award, Professor Wright will give a brief overview of mindfulness meditation – what it is, how it’s done, and why it’s helpful in the face of coronavirus and the injustices of racism. Mindfulness is currently taught to teachers and students, to professional athletes, musicians, nurses, surgeons, attorneys, and social justice activists. Join Professor Wright for this conversation, which will include a Q&A for participants.
Please register by Monday, July 6. The Zoom login information and password will be included in your confirmation email.
