What does economics have to say about the contentious issues of race in the United States? Come join us in a discussion with Prof. O'Flaherty on his book Economics of Race in the United States. A Newark native who served as an aide to Kenneth Gibson, Newark’s first black mayor, prior to embarking on his academic career, Prof. O'Flaherty has studied issues of homelessness, crime, housing, and panhandling extensively. Come to our event with lots of questions and let's be intellectually uncomfortable on some of the most important challenges facing our society today.
