Book Arts professor Jocelyn Pedersen, along with Special Collections, invites the Oxy community to contribute to a book that will bring together our stories from the pandemic – glimpses of life outside the Zoom square. Participants will be mailed a quality sheet of paper to be creative with; the pages will be bound together into one monumental accordion style book, which will be exhibited at the end of the semester.

Who can participate? Everyone!

This project is open to all members of the Oxy community - students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and families.

Registration is open through March 22 to receive a kit. Register here. Sheets will be mailed with a prepaid stamped envelope for return.

The deadline to send in your page will be Saturday, April 10.

Professor Pedersen will host a live Zoom session Wednesday, March 24, 5pm for brainstorming simple techniques of creative expression on paper with markers, pen and ink, paints, photos, drawings and collage. This event will be recorded and made available on the event page.

For more information, please contact Jocelyn Pedersen - pedersen@oxy.edu

This event is presented in collaboration with Occidental Library’s Special Collections with the support of the Lawrence Clark Powell ‘28 and Fay Shoemaker Powell ’32 Endowment for the Book Arts.
