With Kimmy Ngo: Founder of OC Creative Reuse Center
Kimmy is a fashion designer, artisan, and sustainability advocate based in Anaheim, California. She was introduced to sewing at an early age through her family's tailoring business in Little Saigon and has over 15 years of experience working in the fashion industry as a pattern drafter and technical designer for brands including Billabong and Rip Curl. Her expertise in product quality assurance has allowed her to travel to factories in Honduras and Mexico. She is now freelancing for smaller brands and combines her textile background with environmental advocacy as the founder of the OC Creative Reuse Center, an initiative dedicated to diverting landfill waste and providing accessible creative materials to the community.
