We know Oxy students have many interests and choosing a major at Oxy can be a bit overwhelming. In HCC 100: ASCEND (Part 2) students explore their personal interests and gain an understanding of which Oxy majors they should explore. Students will also start the process for exploring and planning their summer experiences.

If you want to make the most of your experience at the Oxy Career Fair, you must prepare in advance. Attendance at this workshop is an excellent way to gain knowledge and valuable tips for approaching employers, seeking information, and making a great first impression. Some employers will decide which students to contact for an interview after the career fair. With the right preparation, and attendance at the workshops, you can increase the likelihood that you will make valuable employment contacts.
Your ability to articulate your accomplishments and experiences in a compelling manner can increase your chances of landing a great job or internship. This workshop will help you prepare for a telephone, video or in-person interview. Learn how to conduct pre-interview research; handle different types of interviews; and effectively use the job description to make a great first impression.
