Join us for Elliot Davis' senior comprehensive project in Theater as he performs Poet in New York in Herrick Chapel.
Poet in New York is the story of Federico Garcia Lorca, a Spanish poet and playwright who travels to New York City to heal his broken heart. Unfortunately, the Great Depression alters Lorca’s dream-come-true of finally visiting America. One actor portrays Lorca and everyone he meets along his journey, including Salvador Dali and Walt Whitman, as the poet navigates love and coming of age in an overwhelmingly unfamiliar territory.
