Dr. Jose González is the Medical Director of Healthcare in Action, a Los Angeles-based medical group that provides care to older adults and other vulnerable individuals who are experiencing homelessness. Dr. González is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine.

Join Project SAFE in honoring Sexual Assault Awareness Month with our annual Take Back the Week programming! Centered around both Denim Day and Take Back the Night, this years’ events include healing spaces, opportunities to participate in awareness-raising, and workshops to facilitate creative expression.
Pre-med and pre-health students will have the rare opportunity to engage in this hands-on learning experience which may include: an introduction to the basic suture kit, types of sutures, basic suture knots, suture techniques and procedures, and suture removal. This event is hosted by the Office of Pre-Health Advising, and representatives from the U.S. Army will guide students through the experience. Register on Handshake.

Alisa Slaughter's essays, short fiction, and translations have most recently appeared in Flyway, terrain.org, and Santa Monica Review. Her collection of short fiction, Bad Habitats, was published in 2013 by Gold Line Press. She holds an MFA from Warren Wilson College and an MA in comparative literature from the University of Arizona and teaches at the University of Redlands.
