  • Oxy’s Zach Baines ’19 goes for two against Pomona-Pitzer in the SCIAC Tournament Championship on Saturday, Feb. 23 in Claremont. Although Oxy ultimately lost, Oxy finished with its best overall season record since 2007-08 at 22-5 overall, and went 12-4 in SCIAC play for the second season in a row.

  • The Oxy Student Wellness Advisory Council, Sleep Week, Emmons Wellness Center and Active Minds presents Goat Yoga on March 28. The goat yoga classes were held by Hello Critter and their instructors, who led Nigerian Dwarf goats throughout the space while students did yoga.

  • Incoming Oxy first-year students take part in an OxyEngage trip and have a bonfire cookout at Dockweiler State Beach on Aug. 20. OxyEngage is a pre-orientation program that introduces incoming students to Los Angeles. Over two days, upperclassmen lead trips to experience culture, film, food, nature, social justice, the urban environment and more.

  • Students in MAC professor Aleem Hossain’s 360 video class gather footage using 360-degree video cameras at the Oxy solar array at Fiji Hill on Oct. 21. The resulting project will allow people to put on a headset and look around at the array from many perspectives.
