The Class of 2029 has officially arrived! On August 18, Occidental College and the O-Team welcomed new Tigers and their families as they kickstarted their college journey.
From the moment cars started rolling in, the O-Team was there cheering, pointing people in the right direction, lending a hand, and making sure everyone felt at home. Move-in day was full of firsts: roommates meeting face-to-face, families helping decorate residence hall rooms, and students catching their first glimpse of what their life at Oxy will be like.
That evening, everyone gathered at Remsen Bird Hillside Theater for Welcome to Oxy! A Community Celebration, which set the tone for a week of Orientation events leading up to the start of classes on August 26.
Take a look at the slideshow below to feel the energy, excitement, and Oxy spirit that filled Class of 2029’s Orientation week.
