Erica Preston-Roedder specializes in applied ethics. She also has interests in philosophy of race/gender, public philosophy, and philosophy of psychology.  In recent work with Occidental College, she has focused on building connections with local community organizations, including local elementary schools and health advocacy organizations.  Her current research focuses on the normative complexity of multiracial families.
