The purpose of assessment is to evaluate our efforts to engage students in an environment that promotes learning and student success by reflecting on quantitative and qualitative data and observations.
In order to make evidence-based decisions regarding student learning and the quality of programming, faculty follow assessment plans that directly examine student achievement on program learning outcomes. Functional areas and departments assess student learning outcomes as well as department objectives that measure operational effectiveness. Indirect data is integrated within assessment plans to provide a comprehensive analysis of student achievement and institutional effectiveness. Assessment reports are completed annually allow faculty and staff to make incremental improvements on the programming and delivery based thoughtful reflection and analysis.
