Asya Cook began her role with Oxy in Spring 2022. She is a native of the Bronx but has called Los Angeles home since 2018. Asya graduated with her BA in Political Science from the University of Vermont, then received her MA in Higher Education and Student Affairs from THE Ohio State University.
Asya is a proud first generation college student and passionate about expanding retention efforts for historically marginalized students. She served students professionally in Admissions, Dean of Students, and Residential Life. In addition to work, Asya is an active member in the Los Angeles community. She volunteers with a local organization to assist high school students matriculate into college. You can also catch Asya at the movies or SoulCycle.
