Carina is a Psychology major, born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She uses her city’s diversity as inspiration for cooking, painting, and helping out her community. She loves to help others whenever she can and even run a community organization, Leg Up LA, which is dedicated to helping people experiencing houselessness with some of her classmates. On campus, she volunteers for the Neighborhood Partnership Program (NPP) by giving tours, participating in panels, and talking to local high school students about Oxy and college life. She is also involved with many clubs on campus including the Multicultural Club, Planned Parenthood, Beauty Beyond Color, and is also a member of one of Oxy’s local sororities, Alpha Lambda Phi Alpha. Carina is currently doing health psychology research with one of her professors and plans on getting her P.H.D in social psychology after she graduates from college! In her free time, Carina enjoys working on her cookbook, playing with her dog Theo, and going to the beach with her friends.
