While James currently lives in Illinois when he’s home from Oxy, he has had the privilege of calling ten different cities home over his life. This diversity in a home environment has allowed him to gain a greater understanding and respect for people from all walks of life from all around the world. While not in class pursuing Diplomacy, Spanish, and German academic interests, James is a member of Azúcar, Occidental’s Latin Dance Team, where he learns, teaches and performs Latin Dances such as Bachata, Salsa, and Reggaeton. After college, James plans to continue his education by getting a Master’s in International Peace and Security or a Law degree with a concentration in refugee and environmental cases. Off campus, you can find James doing a variety of activities: ranging from outdoor activities such as snowboarding, surfing, or training for marathons, to exploring Los Angeles and sampling each and every kind of food in the city!
