Born and raised in New Jersey, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Kean University and her Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University. Professionally, she worked in Residence Life at Barry University located in Miami, Florida. Keana became committed to supporting, helping, and advocating for marginalized students to ensure they have the best experiences while attending college. As a Black first-generation college student and LGBTQIA+ member, she is motivated and devoted to building equity and inclusion on college campuses for all students with different backgrounds, beliefs, identities, and more! In her free time, Keana genuinely enjoys giving back to the community, mentoring high-school students, and searching for new volunteering opportunities. She also loves looking for restaurants to try new cultural foods and you can always find her hanging out at the beach. Fun Fact: She recently taught herself how to DJ!
