Nancy Herrera (she/her/ella) is from Santa Ana, California. She obtained undergraduate degrees in Chicanx/Latinx Studies and Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. Her passion for supporting the mental health and resilience of historically minoritized communities influenced her decision to obtain a graduate education in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Nancy utilizes intersectional, decolonial, and liberation approaches to support holistic healing and wellness. As a woman of Mexican descent, her work is her means of advocacy, resistance, and countering historical and deficit narratives used to further oppress minoritized communities.
Nancy enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, yoga, and watching movies with her three dogs and two cats.
