Oswaldo Lopez Jr. is a native of the Northeast Los Angeles community of Montecito Heights. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School where he was a participant of the Occidental College Upward Bound program. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Chicana/o Studies with a minor in Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara. While at UCSB, he served as a leader in organizing the College Link Outreach Program (CLOP). During his time in the program, he helped bring over 400 underserved high school students to UCSB, often providing their first exposure to the realm of higher education. Oswaldo is deeply passionate about increasing and improving educational diversity on college campuses by providing adequate mentorship to students in high school.
