Alex Nourafshan is in-house product counsel at Stripe in San Francisco. Previously, he was an associate at Goodwin Procter in the firm’s fintech practice and counsel for the California Department of Business Oversight. In addition to his fintech and financial services practice, Alex received his JD from Vanderbilt Law School in 2015 and graduated from Oxy in 2011.
Jill Goatcher (Occidental ‘14) is currently serving as an Assistant Attorney General for the Oregon Department of Justice. After Oxy, she earned her J.D. from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. She moved back to her home state of Oregon to continue work in energy law, working as Senior Policy Advisor for the Oregon Public Utility Commission, specializing in renewable energy, before taking her current role as Assistant Attorney General.
Joyce Yao is a 1L TechEdge JD candidate at Santa Clara University School of Law. She graduated from Oxy in 2018 with degrees in cell and molecular biology and politics. She had been working at a San Francisco startup as a molecular biologist and is now pursuing a career in patent prosecution in the biotech industry.
