Dâm-Funk is an American modern-funk musician, vocalist and producer from Pasadena, California. A self-taught musician since his teens, Dâm-Funk started background session work in the '90s and fully bloomed the next decade into a critically acclaimed artist and producer with Toeachizown (2009), a quintuple LP for Stones Throw Records, followed up by triple album Invite the Light (2015). He is also known for a multitude of solo and collaborative projects with associates such as Snoop Dogg, Mac Miller, Christine and the Queens, and Nite Jewel. First and foremost a catalyst in funk's postmillennial evolution, Dâm has also indulged in his love for atmospheric soundscapes with his Private Life album series under side-project Garrett, released through label Music from Memory.
