Los Angeles and Film is a series of four film screenings that showcase the vibrant and diverse L.A. cultural landscape. This series was curated by Prof. John Trafton and will feature guests speakers from the Oxy community and from the Los Angeles film and arts community.

Set in East Los Angeles, this coming-of-age story centers on the struggles of Anna (Academy Award nominee America Ferrera) and her domineering family. This screening will be moderated by special guests Professor Viviana McManus and film critic Claudia Puig.
