The Occidental College Children's Theater is once again inviting applications for its Summer Institute of Fun, weeklong acting workshops in July and August that will teach children techniques in physical theater, group improvisation, tumbling and movement.

There will be an informal folktale performance performed by the children at the end of each week. Participants must be between 8 and 13 years old, although there is a special session for children ages 11 to 15. The Institute of Fun is taught by OCT actors under the direction of OCT artistic director and Oxy professor Jamie Angell.

Sessions, which will cover different material each week, are scheduled for 1-4 p.m. Monday through Friday in Occidental's Keck Theater. There will be supervised free time from 4-5:15 p.m., during which parents may pick up their children. The schedule is as follows:

Sessions 1-4 are open to children ages 8 to 13. Session 5 is for children ages 11-15.

Session 1: July 19 through July 23
Session 2: July 26 through July 30
Session 3: August 2 through August 6
Session 4: August 9 through August 13
Session 5: August 16 through August 20 (for children ages 11-15)

Fees:

$175 one session
$330 two sessions (saves $20)
$485 three sessions (saves $40)
$620 four sessions (saves $80)
$755 five sessions (saves $120)

There is a 10 percent discount for each additional sibling.
