Purpose:
The Truman Scholarship awards graduate school scholarships to juniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to a career in public service.
Eligibility:
In order to apply, a student must:
- be enrolled as a junior
- be a U.S. citizen

Nomination Process:
Oxy may nominate up to four students from the class of 2025 (plus up to three transfer students). Applicants must complete the Oxy Truman application form, list three possible recommenders (on the form), and upload an unofficial transcript by October 27, 2023. Letters of recommendation are not needed until January.
The faculty committee will work with our nominees to finalize their applications by the national deadline.
