Below is a partial list of chemicals known to have been involved in the Dec. 13, 2017 release in Norris Hall of Chemistry, linked to safety sheets with detailed information on each. This list likely will be updated as more information becomes available.

OSHA has established both acute and long-term permissible exposure limits (PELs) for all chemicals. Given the quick evacuation of the Norris Hall of Chemistry, as well as the rapid air changes owing to the building’s system of fume hoods and ventilation, it is unlikely that the air concentrations of any of the materials involved in the release approached the PELs.
