Editor

Hear the results of a survey of journal editors on what they are looking for in submissions and on features of strong submissions.

It can sometimes be a mystery why one article sails through the publication process and another languishes. At this CRS workshop, we will share the results of a survey of journal editors—from a range of disciplines—on what they are looking for in submissions and on the features of strong submissions. We will also discuss helpful (and appropriate) kinds of contact you can have with editors or editorial board members prior to publication that could increase your chances of getting published. We will allow time for workshop participants to share their own experiences with editors and editorial boards, as well as their own techniques for increasing their publication chances.

Lunch included.
