Occidental was honored to welcome U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor to Thorne Hall on February 6, 2026, for a conversation hosted by the California Unity Bar and Los Angeles County Unity Bar Associations.
Along with attorneys from across the state, several Occidental students from the Oxy Pre-Law Society had the opportunity to attend and hear from Justice Sotomayor, 29th Chief Justice of California Patricia Guerrero, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Mary Murguia and moderator Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of California Kelli Evans.
