Hello and welcome to Occidental College! I'm Shaiel, and I'm thrilled to be one of your Orientation Leaders for International Student Orientation. I’m a sophomore planning to declare a Diplomacy and World Affairs (DWA) major. I speak Spanish fluently, and I’m passionate about drawing, dancing, listening to various music genres, doing crafts, playing the violin, and watching mystery movies. Living in Peru and independently restarting my life in the United States has helped me understand both the excitement and challenges of beginning a new chapter in a different environment. My goal is to help you feel at home here at Oxy and to support you as you navigate this exciting journey.
