Fun, creative, and desirable work is still work. Employees in creative industries deserve fair hours, fair compensation, and fair conditions. Panelists will discuss the triumphs and challenges of organizing, and will pass on lessons learned to attendees interested in the arts, creative work, and labor justice more broadly.

Book Arts professor Jocelyn Pedersen, along with Special Collections, invites the Oxy community to contribute to a book that will bring together our stories from the pandemic – glimpses of life outside the Zoom square. Participants will be mailed a quality sheet of paper to be creative with; the pages will be bound together into one monumental accordion style book, which will be exhibited at the end of the semester.
Who can participate? Everyone!
During the Fall 2021 semester, there are two opportunities to get experience leading an original art workshop to local youth in Highland Park! Join us for a drop in info session with Collaborate Professor Patricia Yossen and Community Studio manager Frankie Fleming to learn more about these opportunities and apply.
