National Coming Out Day was first observed on the anniversary of the National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights. Since then, it has stood as a reminder of the power of coming out. Join us in a celebration of our community and to promote a safe world for LGBTQ individuals to live truthfully and openly.
Come to this scheduled performance and open-mic night every month where Black students can enjoy collective expression, release, and healing in a creative and consistent space.

In this poetic reflection, writer/director Darla Howell provides a nuanced perspective of being a Black student at Occidental College. The film features over 25 students who explore their personal experiences of vulnerability, seeking safety, and navigating the various realities of life at a predominantly white institution.
