VP&S provides international leadership in educating physicians, physician-scientists, and research scientists; in caring for patients ranging from those who can select any physician in the world to the most vulnerable; and in conducting basic, translational, and population-based research to improve human health.
The Health Professions Scholarship Program will enable eligible individuals to obtain a fully-funded education in the fields of medicine, dentistry, clinical psychology, physician assistant, podiatry or optometry, and a commission as a U.S. Naval Officer.
In this program, 100% of tuition, required school fees (excluding housing and meals), required books, and equipment are paid. In addition, a monthly stipend is paid when in the program. A signing bonus is paid to individuals signing up for the medical or dental HPSP programs.
Hailing in from Claremont, CA, Will Reeves attended Occidental College where he majored in Kinesiology, conducted hematology research, and played on Oxy’s football team. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering with @peace4kids and @healingheartsacrossborders. After graduating from Oxy, he and his research team discovered a novel anticoagulant they named after the school called “Occipodin” which was later presented at the American Society of Hematology. After research, Will took a bit of a detour from medicine and became an entrepreneur.
