Renato Rocha is an Economic Policy Analyst in UnidosUS’ (formerly National Council of La Raza) Office of Research, Advocacy, and Legislation. He conducts analysis of consumer protection, budget, tax, disaster relief, and labor issues that impact the economic wellbeing of Latino and immigrant communities.
Please join us for a symposium where we will address these questions and examine the legacy of architect Myron Hunt, designer of the Occidental College Campus as well as the Rose Bowl, the Huntington Home and Library, the Claremont & Caltech campuses, Pasadena Public Library, and many other landmarks of our region.
Funds raised from the sale will benefit Asian American Tutorial Project (AATP). Founded in 1969 during the Yellow Power Movement, AATP is an intercollegiate tutoring service at Castelar Elementary School in Chinatown. Alongside our peers at USC and UCLA we help a local, largely immigrant community achieve higher levels of educational attainment!
The first public event, sharing a sampling of an incredible archive of over 4000 photos, and part of an ongoing partnership with United American Indian United American Indian Involvement (UAII).
