Led by Prof. César Castro, this joyous concert brings the infectious energy of Veracruz’s Son Jarocho tradition to the community. Expect vibrant rhythms, powerful vocals, and a spirit of unity and celebration.
Celebrate Occidental's dynamic music program at Oxy Jazz Fest! The festival kicks off at 1 p.m. with an educational masterclass led by Oxy’s jazz faculty in Bird Studio (Booth Hall). The master class is open to the public, and local high school and college students are encouraged to attend and participate. At 2:30 p.m. the festivities move to the main Academic Quad for an afternoon of live music, pizza from Tic Tac Toe and complimentary mocktails.

For this Spring,Emmons and the Office of Equity and Justice will be demystifying grief. We invite all faculty, staff, and students to attend and participate in some powerful discussions. Sessions will be biweekly on Tuesdays from 6:30pm-7:30pm.
