The Office of Admission is excited to announce the expansion of the campus visit program this summer and we want to make you aware of the details.
As part of Oxy's continued reopening process, prospective students and families will be able to register for a campus visit that now includes a guided campus tour along with an admission information session. These will also be available to incoming and returning students, providing this valuable opportunity for those members of our community who have not yet seen Oxy’s campus in person.
Campus visits will be offered on weekdays starting tomorrow, June 16. Visitors will register in advance and may be accompanied by up to three people per party. All guests will complete a health check form on the day of their campus visit and will check in at the Office of Admission. Admission staff will direct them to Thorne Lobby where an Admission Officer will provide an overview of Oxy’s academic and co-curricular experiences, along with an introduction to the application and financial aid process. Visitors will then be led on a guided tour of campus with a student tour guide.
The tour will include a range of indoor and outdoor campus spaces. Visitors will remain masked whenever they enter a building and will be asked to maintain six feet of social distance from anyone outside their party. Visitors will not have access to any buildings unless they are with their tour guide, with the exception of the Oxy Bookstore. The bathrooms in the Booth Hall courtyard will continue to be available for visitor use and will be frequently cleaned throughout each weekday.
For any prospective students and families who are unable to visit as part of the formal Campus Visit program, the College will be open to visitors for self-guided tours daily. (No registration is required for self-guided tours.)
We are extremely grateful to our partners on campus who have made it possible for us to host these tours, including Facilities Management, Campus Safety, Campus Dining, REHS and SLICE.
Thanks for your cooperation!
Vince Cuseo, VP of Enrollment and Dean of Admission
