Statute 21.06: Homosexual Conduct unravels how the spark of same-sex desire that surfaced one drunken night in Houston, Texas led to the dismantling of US sodomy laws and paved the path towards equal marriage and the decriminalization of homosexual sex. Mixing documentary evidence with fictional story, the play weaves together the complex ways in which the legal battle took its toll on all involved.
