Financial Aid Office Administrative Assistant
Melissa, or “Mel,” joined Occidental College’s Office of Financial Aid in April 2023. She is a Los Angeles native who graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in History. With comprehensive knowledge of customer service, Mel serves as the Office of Financial Aid’s first point of contact for parents and students. Though she is new to the higher education field, she is very eager to help Oxy students embark on their journey through college and beyond. As a recent college graduate herself, she also seeks to alleviate the anxiety of students and their families related to the financial aid process.
