We know Oxy students have many interests and choosing a major at Oxy can be a bit overwhelming. In HCC 100: ASCEND (Part 2) students explore their personal interests and gain an understanding of which Oxy majors they should explore. Students will also start the process for exploring and planning their summer experiences.

It’s never too early to start engaging with the Hameetman Career Center. We want to know each student and we want each student to know us. HCC 100: ASCEND (Part I) is the best way to learn everything you need to know about career services and the resources available to all students.

SENIORS ONLY: Attend this workshop to learn the strategies and effective language needed to successfully negotiate your first job offer.
Gain effective negotiation skills you can use through out your professional career.

If you want to make the most of your experience at the Oxy Career Fair, you must prepare in advance. Attendance at this workshop is an excellent way to gain knowledge and valuable tips for approaching employers, seeking information, and making a great first impression. Some employers will decide which students to contact for an interview after the career fair. With the right preparation, and attendance at the workshops, you can increase the likelihood that you will make valuable employment contacts.
