Collaborative Enrollment Initiative

The Collaborative Enrollment Initiative at Oxy is a comprehensive, coordinated effort that recognizes the importance of every facet of the college in managing the college’s enrollment in alignment with our mission and strategic plan.

Its intent is to coordinate efforts, apply relevant data and create greater efficiencies across offices by borrowing from best practices of strategic enrollment management and adapting them to Oxy’s unique position as an urban-based residential liberal arts college.

CEI addresses the entire student lifecycle:

  • the process of recruiting,

  • transition to college,

  • success and satisfaction with academic and residential life,
  • student outcomes,
  • post-graduate engagement with the College.

It considers the role of all constituencies in this lifecycle, including parents, secondary school counselors, as well as many members of the Oxy community. It is designed as an engine for continuous improvement that is empowered to make recommendations for programmatic and policy changes to better serve students.

CEI’s ultimate goal is to enable the college to more effectively attract, retain and graduate civically engaged, successful, satisfied students now and in the future.
