The College has provided further guidance to International Programs regarding international students’ arrival and vaccine status. This new information supersedes all previous communications from International Programs.
All international students must report their vaccine status or intent to vaccinate by June 15 (instructions are here & the form is here) in the MyOxy portal and complete a housing request form, if applicable. Include any unusual circumstance about vaccine types, 1st dose only, confirmed COVID infection, etc. on the linked Emmons form.
Oxy accepts many international vaccines. If local conditions limit vaccination access, please try to use this “Vaccination Required” letter to assist in securing a vaccine before arrival.
Vaccinated individuals should plan to arrive on the published move in date for their cohort as follows:
Class of 2022 & 2023 - Saturday, August 28
Class of 2024 (who lived at Oxy spring 2021; Canadians; those attended high school in U.S.; or those with over 2 years U.S. experience) - Thursday, August 26
Class of 2025 (Canadians; those who high school in U.S. or those over 2 years U.S. experience) - Monday, August 23
Class of 2024 & 2025, Exchange & VLAs - Tuesday, August 17 (International Orientation by invitation only)
International Orientation Leaders - Wednesday, August 11
Unvaccinated individuals in all cohorts must arrive on August 1, 2021 to receive a Johnson & Johnson vaccine on August 2 and isolate for 14 days. Those who live off campus will isolate in their off campus location. Those who are approved for on-campus housing will isolate in a special on-campus location. Use the Emmons and ResEd forms linked above.
International students who cannot arrive on August 1 may still get an Oxy vaccine, but Oxy cannot provide on campus housing for a two-week isolation period. Please secure off campus housing.
