A message from the College Librarian about free digital learning materials available to Oxy students this spring.
Dear Oxy Students:
I have some very good news for you! VitalSource, an e-textbook vendor, is providing access to an expansive catalog of digital learning materials through May 25, 2020, free of charge. Students can download the VitalSource Bookshelf app, create an account using their Oxy email, and then view course materials from participating publishers by utilizing its Explore discovery capabilities. Most of the required textbooks for this semester’s classes are included in the offering. Of the 38 titles in the Library’s Textbook Course Reserves, VitalSource Bookshelf has copies of the same edition (or a newer version) for 29 of them. Each student can “borrow” seven titles total through May 25 at no cost. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity.
