We are pleased to reopen additional outdoor athletic facilities on campus this spring.
Dear Oxy Community,
Under the guidance of the COVID Operations Group, we are pleased to announce a plan to reopen additional outdoor athletic facilities on campus, in line with the latest regulations from the L.A. County Department of Public Health.
Beginning Monday, April 26, the outdoor basketball court and Pongracz Wright putting green area will be accessible to current Occidental students, staff, and faculty only. We regret that we are not yet able to offer access to non-Occidental individuals at this point, as the campus currently remains closed. Please refer to the protocols for these spaces to learn more specific information about facility hours, access, requirements, and other applicable rules.
Please note that failure to comply with health and safety protocols may result in the permanent loss of facility access. As public health officials have repeatedly emphasized, we need to continue to be vigilant to prevent another pandemic surge.
With the reopening of the outdoor basketball court and Pongracz Wright putting green, all athletic facilities that are typically available to students, faculty, and staff for recreational use are now accessible.
See tennis court protocols for recreational use of the McKinnon Family Tennis Center, Kemp Stadium protocols for recreational use of the field and track, De Mandel Aquatics Center protocols for lap swim information, or the Alumni Gym Fitness Center protocols for gym information.
Have a good weekend.
