Five new positive COVID-19 cases among our students were identified this past week.

To the Oxy Community:

In keeping with our protocols, I write to inform you that there were five new positive COVID-19 cases among our students were identified this past week.

All positive individuals are in isolation for 10 days, two in their off-campus homes and two in Berkus housing. Those who had close contact (less than 6 feet for 10 minutes or more) with the individuals who tested positive have been notified and are also in quarantine in Berkus and at their homes. If you have not been contacted about these cases, you have not been identified as being at risk of exposure.

Once again, an important reminder to everyone: continue to practice all of the safety measures established this year, including social distancing, mask wearing, testing and limiting social interactions and travel. Thank you all for your continued effort to keep Oxy safe.

Be well,

Sara Semal, LPCC
