Senior Class Day Awards

Presented annually to the classmate voted by the senior class to have contributed most significantly to the promotion of the status of women at Occidental College. Presented to a member of the senior class who has made a substantial contribution to fostering cultural and ethnic interaction and therefore enhancing a sense of community on campus.

Presented annually to an outstanding senior in recognition of service, leadership, and scholarship. Established in 1979 in memory of Mrs. Gilman, first wife of the 10th president of Occidental College.

Hanna Adler

The Donald R. Loftsgordon Memorial Award for Outstanding Teaching is presented annually by the senior class to a faculty member elected by the senior class who has made a substantial impact on the personal and academic development of the senior class members.

Clair Morrissey

Inaugural Faculty Prize for Advising Excellence
Prof. Hossain was chosen for his inclusive advising practices, his approach to supporting students who are struggling or in crisis, and his commitment to providing guidance and mentorship to both advisees and other students interested in pursuing film or television careers.

Aleem Hossain

This award recognizes faculty, staff, administrators, or alumni who serve as an organization advisor outside of their normal duties and provide outstanding support to the organization.
