A helpful guide to the remote fall semester and a link to the Faculty Resource Guide that the CTE prepares and circulates to new faculty each year.

Dear Colleagues:

I hope that your first week of classes is going well and that you and your families are safe and well.

As I mentioned at last week's Chairs meeting and at Friday's Faculty Meeting, I have prepared what I hope is a helpful guide to our remote Fall semester. This guide is a compilation of information that has been shared via email and discussed in various meetings, and supplements information available elsewhere on the College's website. I have set the document up to accept comments, and I welcome feedback if you have questions about the information contained in the guide and suggestions for other sections that would be helpful to you.

In addition, I am providing a link to the full Faculty Resource Guide that the CTE prepares and circulates to new faculty each year. The information contained in this guide is not necessarily specific to Fall 2020, but I thought it would be helpful to make sure everyone is aware of this resource.

Of course, neither of these documents replaces the Faculty Handbook or other official College policies. They are intended to provide helpful guidance to faculty regarding their work inside and outside the classroom. Please also note that the FC Moodle page contains an archive of faculty messages that I have sent about preparations for remote teaching and learning.

Please let me know if you have any questions about resources available to support your work.

With my very best wishes for a great semester, and gratitude for the work that you have done to be ready for a remote Fall.
