Paolo Velasco

Paolo Velasco serves as the Director of Academic Support Services. In this role, he is responsible for the hiring, training, and supervision of Department Coordinators in order to ensure a coordinated and effective delivery of support services for the Academic Affairs Division. His duties also include managing tenure-track faculty searches and other hiring searches in the division, in close consultation with search committee Chairs; coordinating the work of the Institutional Review Board committees (Human Subjects Review Committee and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee); and providing support for the Academic Planning Committee and the Core Steering Committee.
