Health Promotion offers Office Hours in the JSC where students can come chat with our Health Promotion Specialist or a Peer Health Educator.

Our staff can help with:

  • Connecting to health or mental health resources at Oxy
  • A warm referral/handoff to Emmons
  • Understanding how to access care off campus
  • Signing up for TimelyCare
  • Providing info on different health and mental health topics
  • Just being a listening ear if you need to chat

What to expect:

When you come to Office Hours, you’ll be asked to read and sign our Office Hours Guidelines acknowledgment form, which you can view in advance. If there is a wait, you are welcome to sign up using the sign up sheet on the clipboard, or return later during the drop-in window. Office Hours sessions are limited to about 20 minutes, and students are welcome to attend up to three times a semester. The Health Promotion program respects your privacy. We are not a confidential resource.  If you would like to speak to a confidential resource, please ask a Peer Health Specialist or the Health Promotion Specialist to help connect you to Emmons Wellness Center or another campus confidential resource during your drop-in session.
