Pre-Health Advising

The Hameetman Career Center

The Office of Pre-Health Advising (OPHA) at Occidental College provides information, resources, and in-depth advisement to students and alumni who are interested in matriculating to graduate programs in various health professions.

Offering unlimited, individualized personal counseling sessions and group workshops, the OPHA assist premedical and prehealth students and alumni in making well-informed decisions and help them develop effective personal strategies to successfully achieve their professional and educational goals. We provide guidance and opportunities, as they select their academic courses and engage in extra-curricular activities such as research, volunteering and clinical shadowing. We continue to provide assistance throughout the entire application process.
