New report shares key findings from the Fall 2024 student survey on discrimination, harassment, and campus climate.
In Fall 2024, Occidental College administered a Discrimination & Harassment Climate Survey to better understand how students experience our campus climate related to respect and belonging. The survey was open to all enrolled students and invited input on the prevalence and impact of discriminatory or harassing conduct, experiences of identity-based bias, and perceptions of institutional response.
The results, now summarized in a newly released report, offer important insight into the experiences of our student community and help guide our efforts to foster a more inclusive and respectful campus. Student respondents reported a range of experiences across identities and shared thoughtful feedback on how the College can continue to improve outreach, support, and response systems.
