Join the Office of Sustainability in the inaugural harvest of our campus olive trees!
Calling all students, staff, faculty, and alumni! For the first time ever, the Office of Sustainability is pleased to welcome you to join us in harvesting olives from our campus Mission Olive trees. The olives will be pressed locally into our very own extra virgin olive oil!
Friday, November 3rd
10:00am - 2:00pm (come and go as you please!)
In the Olive Grove / on Thorne Patio
Join us in honoring these 130-year-old, drought-resistant, shade-providing trees by harvesting their fruit right off the branches, which will be pruned for easy access. Volunteers will enjoy refreshments from Oxy's own Campus Dining and receive a complimentary pair of gardening gloves.
