Ginny Salazar
Assistant Director, Student Leadership, Involvement and Community Engagement

Ginny is a professional devoted to student development and committed to fostering student leadership skills. With over ten years of experience in higher education and drawing from lived experiences such as a first-generation college graduate and coming from an underserved community, Ginny has significantly impacted the creation of transformative and immersive experiences for students and empowered them to become influential leaders in their surroundings.

As the Assistant Director of SLICE, Ginny plays a pivotal role in the administrative and cataloging components of the office as well as designing and coordinating leadership development through programming efforts with over 100 clubs and organizations on campus and ASOC, the student government body. She collaborates closely with campus organizations, faculty, and staff to create a supportive environment that nurtures the growth of student leaders.

In her spare time, Ginny enjoys quality family time. She finds fulfillment in bringing the family together at a table to enjoy a delicious homemade meal. Additionally, her adventurous spirit leads her and her beloved clan to travel to uncharted territories, allowing them to forge precious memories and deepen their bonds. Ginny cherishes these earthly connections while embracing the mysteries beyond our planet with her fascination for space.
