Oxy student, First-Gen Club member
A senior with a Spanish Studies major and double minors in public health and kinesiology, Jazmin is a Mexican-American woman and a first-gen student from a low-income household. Jazmin is working to revive the First-Gen Club on campus for Oxy students. During her time at Oxy, she received a lot of help and support from other POC and first-gen students, and she witnessed the need for a safe and reliable space and organization for first-gen students. This is why she wants to revitalize the club and build a supportive community.
